In the process of pedagogical activity we are constantly encountering with the scarcity of average complexity repertoire for jazz guitar players. Through the internet and in print you can find transcriptions of compositions of guitar jazz “starts” (for many those are above their strength) either just bare jazz themes (without improvisations). This collection presents the popular jazz melodies with improvisations composed by the author of the collection as well as authored works. The following plays are recommended for the performance in the music schools with pop and jazz division, either on the first courses of the music colleges. The guitar chart, on which the theme and, correspondingly, the improvisation are written, is depicted at the end of each play. As an accompaniment may be used the educational “minuses” of Jamey Aebersold, which can be found on the internet and almost all musicians obtain them nowadays. Nevertheless, there is no such “minus” which can replace the real “life” accompaniment.
