English summary: What can linguistics reveal about textbooks--and why are textbooks regarded as a rich vein of investigation for the field of linguistics? These questions are at the heart of this edited volume which combines manifold linguistic perspectives and applies them to the textbook as a pivotal educational medium. The methodological and empirical contributions to this volume examine text typology and demonstrate which knowledge is verbalized, why an intensive examination of the language in teaching and learning materials is of value and how the textual and discursive contexts of textbooks can be measured and delineated. The work identifies both potential and desiderata for linguistic research into educational media, including, but not limited to, German language books. German description: Was kann die Linguistik uber Schulbucher offenlegen - und warum ist das Schulbuch fur die Sprachwissenschaft ein fruchtbarer Untersuchungsgegenstand? Diesen Fragen geht dieser Sammelband nach und bundelt vielfaltige linguistische Perspektiven auf das Schulbuch als zentrales Bildungsmedium. Die methodischen, texttypologischen und empirischen Beitrage zeigen, welches Wissen in Schulbuchern versprachlicht wird, warum ein intensiver Blick auf die Sprache der Lehr- und Lernmittel lohnt und wie sich Schulbucher in ihren textuellen und diskursiven Zusammenhangen erfassen und beschreiben lassen. Die Beitrage machen bestehende Desiderate ausfindig und eroffnen Perspektiven fur eine linguistische Forschung an Bildungsmedien, die sich nicht allein auf das Deutschbuch beschrankt.
