It stresses physicalprinciples, applications, and instrumentation. It will be most usefull to the practicing engineer or experimental scientist, graduate student, or advanced undergraduate. It contains more than enough material from which to selelct the core of an introctory optics course and sufficientto form the bulk of a more advanced course.
