English summary: When planning the musical arrangements for a funeral service, people increasingly tend to choose popular music. The choices that relatives make don't always correspond with the ideas of the pastor. Blume examines the nature and frequency of such requests as well as the motivation behind them and shows how pastors evaluate and react to them. She also describes what lies behind such choices and how such songs are experienced from the perspective of the relatives. On this basis, she defines the role played by such songs in the context of the funeral ritual, including their role in contributing to coping with grief. Blume concludes by bringing both perspectives together in order to draw conclusions for pastoral practice. German description: Bei der musikalischen Gestaltung von kirchlichen Trauerfeiern wird immer ofter auf populare Musik zuruckgegriffen. Die Wunsche von Angehorigen entsprechen dabei nicht immer den Vorstellungen der PfarrerInnen. Blume untersucht Art, Haufigkeit und Begrundung entsprechender Wunsche und legt die Bewertung und den Umgang durch die Pfarrerinnen und Pfarrer dar. Daneben beschreibt sie aus der Perspektive der Angehorigen die Hintergrunde und das Erleben dieser Lieder. Darauf aufbauend werden deren Funktionen im Bestattungsritual, wie etwa deren Beitrag zur Trauerbewaltigung, bestimmt. Abschliessend bringt Blume beide Perspektiven miteinander ins Gesprach, um daraus Konsequenzen fur die pastorale Praxis zu ziehen.
