Planet Blues is a thought-provoking book that draws on the belief that nature and our environment, whilst at times powerful and destructive, can also be benevolent and beautiful.It is an eclectic collection of poems inspired by the continual reminder that globally we need to reduce carbon emissions that impact on our world. Some of the poems are based on the author's personal experience of living in the city environment of central London and the impact of air pollution on health and her experience of a heat wave. Other poems concern her experience of floods and hurricanes in the North of England. This tremendous poetry book draws on the belief that nature and the environment whilst powerful and destructive can also be kind and beautiful, bringing health benefits, such as woodland and park walks.Emma Nicholson is a working mother who lives in Harrogate and works in the construction industry in the North of England. She is a Chartered Environmentalist and has a keen interest and industry experience of environmental issues. In this her second book, Emma Nicholson has drawn together a unique collection of poems touching on important topical issues associated with climate change, plastic in oceans, the unpredictable environment, endangered species, sustainable improvements and nature.
