This is a black and white photo documentary of American outlaw bikers. "One Percent" is an insightful photo documentary about 'outlaw bikers' that will appeal those who love black and white photography and anyone fascinated by bikers, Harley Davidson motorcycles and this uniquely American lifestyle. In the 32 years since Danny Lyon's classic "The Bikeriders" first documented the American 'outlaw' biker, images of black leather, chrome steel, tattoos and throbbing Harley Davidsons have permeated popular culture.In "One Percent" Michael Upright invites us to look past those images and meet the people whose lives are the reality behind the icons. Upright spent four years establishing a relationship with the bikers documented in these photographs. The result is an authentic and visually rich portrait of a facet of American society rarely met face-to-face. "One Percent" is printed with 240 line black and grey duotones on premium paper to fully capture the lush dynamics of the original photographic prints.
