Sean Moylan Rebel Leader offers a close and personal look at the man and his life. A fighter of some repute, Moylan was part of the team that captured General Lucas and led a series of ambushes in Cork. He was commandant of the Cork No. 2 Brigade. Following the War of Independence he fought for the anti-Treaty side of the Civil War and remained a senior republican during the conflict. He was elected to the Dail in 1932 and served in the cabinet from then until his death in 1957. Featuring previously unpublished letters between Moylan and other rebels like Dan Breen, Tom Barry and Eamon de Valera this new biography offers a fresh perspective on a central figure in Irish politics from 1916-1957.
