Twelve famous adventurers are about to explore an ancient Mayan temple dedicated to Chac, the god of rain and thunder. The foreboding structure promises to contain priceless artifacts of the Mayan culture but also lethal traps. Are you daring enough to enter the Temple of Chac? You could emerge with treasure beyond your wildest dreams, if you survive.

In this exciting standalone board game (previously published by AEG), two to six players each take control of one of twelve adventurers eager to explore a remote temple filled with dangerous traps and valuable artifacts. To claim these treasures, the adventurers must dash through a perilous maze, dodging moving walls, molten lava, and a gigantic boulder. The player who escapes alive with the most treasure is the winner!

Designed by the ancient Mayans to discourage tomb robbers, the sacred Temple of Chac is full of deadly traps and obstacles through which every adventurer must pass. Upon entry, the dauntless treasure-hunters must contend with crushing walls as they stock up on priceless jewelry, ceremonial masks, and other prizes. But this is just one of the temples many perils. As they work their way through a sweltering lava room, raging river, and rickety bridge, each adventurer must gather as much treasure as they can find. Oh, and did we mention the massive rolling boulder that constantly threatens to crush them alive? The Temple of Chac is the games clever-load level-system, which determines how far an adventurer may move (and how many other actions he may perform) based on the amount of treasure he is carrying. By piling on the treasure, you are not necessarily slowing yourself down you are just increasing the odds that you willl have fewer actions to search for wealth, decipher glyphs, and run for your life!
