The handy book aims to meet the practical need of Muslims of all ages who are willing to learn, teach, or read these surahs for themselves in daily use. It is also suitable for use as supplementary material in schools that provide Islamic education. It consists of selected shorter chapters, surahs, which can be more easily memorized and recited, in addition to the suplications recited during salah, the prescribed daily prayers. Relatively longer surahs such as Ya Sin and Mulk, have been included for they are frequently memorized and recited in various occasions. Some relevant sayings of the Prophet (hadiths) stressing the virtue of these surahs have also been provided to encourage readers.
