Or maybe it's just that the statues at one of Tokyo's oldest temples just happen to be inhabited by yet another species of alien being hunted by the humanoid-powered orb known as Gantz. In Volume 6, readers got to see just how ferocious alien Buddha statues can be, and the battle continues in Volume 7.
