But Sheriff Walt Longmire is not most people. His investigation shows that two years earlier, the dead boy and three others were given suspended sentences for raping a Cheyenne girl. Soon, a second boy is gunned down, and only Sheriff Longmire can keep the remaining two safe. "Death Without Company" When elderly local woman Mari Baroja is poisoned, Sheriff Longmire wants to know who s been to see her lately. As the Sheriff enters the outermost edge of her web, he sets in motion a string of disturbing occurrences involving members of the isolated community: the coal and methane industry, the former Sheriff, and other interests.
