Beginning with an overview of mythology and comparative mythology, this volume provides a thorough look at Norse mythology, including the essential Norse gods, goddesses, heroes, and mythological creatures. Also included is detail on the primary literary sources of Norse mythology, including the Edda and the V lsungasaga. The book also provides a look at Norse mythology in popular culture.
