The Declaration on the Relation of the Church to Non-Christian Religions (Nostra Aetate) of the Second Vatican Council (1962-1965) called for Roman Catholics to join together with those who follow other religious paths in a spirit of cooperation, esteem, humility, and dialogue. In the 50 years since the Council, Catholics across the globe have developed extraordinary friendships with those who follow other religious paths.
