The primary scope of the book is to gather, specify, synthesize and advance existing knowledge of the most important transformation product (TPs) of the main groups of emerging contaminants with potential concern to human health and the environment. The topics covered range from the sources of TPs of emerging contaminants and their environmental behaviour, to their occurrence and effects on urban and marine environments, risk assessment and management, and technologies and strategies available for control. The book includes important information about TPs of emerging contaminants that have only recently been investigated, such as PPCPs, new pesticides, UV Filters, brominated fire retardants, disinfection products, benzotriazoles, and perfluorinated compounds.
