The men who may have played like marauders or mavericks but have invariably developed a special bond with the fans along the way. Using the unique Daily Mirror Photographic Library, the input of Sunday Mirror readers and the views of the Football Supporters' Federation, Haynes Publishing has come up with the ultimate book to provoke debate among football fans everywhere. "There's Only One Arthur Bottom" will assess the impact, style and merits of those players the fans hail as their favourite stars. All 92 clubs who were in the Premier and Football League at the start of the 2012-13 season are included. Some of the proposed icons are predictable. Other nominations will spark heated debate. "There's Only One Arthur Bottom" will also highlight the conflicting values of football fans in their search for skill, stardust and never-say-die attitudes.
