This is a new undergraduate textbook on physical chemistry by Horia Metiu published as four separate paperback volumes. These four textbooks combine a clear and thorough presentation of the theoretical and mathematical aspects of the subject. Examples and applications are drawn from current industrial and academic research. Each volume in "Physical Chemistry" includes Workbooks on CD-ROM containing Mathematica(R) and Mathcad(R) solutions to the exercises featured in the text. The Workbooks also include tutorials on Mathematica(R) and Mathcad(R) and provide programs written to solve the example problems. By using the computer to solve exercises, the author is able to cover the subject matter at a practical level using actual data.
