For the first time, a compilation of all critical material related to confined space hazards and emergencies is available. This text is intended to be a complete technical guide and reference for rescue training in the confined space and industrial environments. The book covers all aspects of confined space and structural rope rescue operations, including team development, rigging and hauling techniques, patient consideration, and hazard reduction and compliance issues. Written by three geographically-diverse rescuers, the text promotes safe and efficient operations as recommended by the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), and American National Standards Institute (ANSI). The text not only has this compilation of all relevant standards and regulations, but also features coherent interpretations of what these standards and regulations mean to the confined space rescue personnel.
