Telugu (from the Dravidian language family) is a native language of over 80 million people, predominantly in the states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana and also in Yanam of India. Telugu is called "The Italian of the East" as its words end in vowels similar to Italian. Telugu is spoken in 3 distinct dialects: Royalaseema, Telangana and Coastal Telugu. Another prominent Telugu dialect (with a mixture of more Tamil) is spoken in Nellore, Chittor and the border of Andhra Pradesh in Tamil Nadu.
