A mixture of sports and competition level that helps show the scope of interest in senior athletic events. Sideboxes with additional information resources and safety tips. Lee Bergquist is an award-winning writer for the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. Even on the far side of 50, his activities include running, sprinting, biking, swimming, pushups, and skateboarding - not bad for a boomer. In his 40s, Bergquist ran masters track in the 100-, 200-, and 400-meter sprints. Bergquist lives in Whitefish Bay, Wisconsin, outside of Milwaukee.
