Koushi Inuzuka is an intelligent high schooler with a lofty but 'normal' aspiration: to be an attorney and prosecute the biggest criminals in the nation. Unfortunately for him, he also happens to be the heir to an ancient family of martial artists, one of twelve powerful clans based on the animals of the Chinese zodiac...and these clans, split into two diametrically opposed factions, are about to plunge the nation of Japan into civil war! Enter Momoko Kuzuryuu, the pint-sized but powerful heiress to the family at the head of the opposing faction. Koushi and Momoko's fathers have cooked up a plan to bring peace and unite both sides by wedding their children and producing an heir - a duty which Momoko is only too enthusiastic to fulfil.
