Conceived as a comprehensive survey and reference work for students, teachers, and general readers, A History of Hungary is organized into chronological chapters, each written by the leading authority on that period. Peter F. Sugar is Professor Emeritus of History and International Studies at the University of Washington. Peter Hanak is Senior Research Advisor at the Institute of History of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. Tibor Frank is Associate Professor of History at Eotvos Lorand University in Budapest.
