This title offers an in-depth look at the post-war Greek shipping business, with insights into around 150 firms. It provides a unique glimpse into Greek entrepreneurship and international maritime transport. It fills a gap, as it offers a systematic record and analysis of the tradition and continuity of Greek shipping companies, that was absent from the international bibliography. It contains new research on 150 Greek shipping family firms of the second half of the 20th century. It takes theoretical approaches on interpretations of the success of shipping family firms. It uses the example of Greek shipping to provide insights into the understanding of entrepreneurship and contribute to the evolution of the theory of the firm.
