Practice-based film education is a crucial element in the institutional landscape of film. Despite its institutional significance, its decisive impact on the dynamics of entire film industries, the aspirations of film practitioners, and the content and form of the films that are produced, practice-based film education is still a neglected topic in film scholarship.
