While other textbooks commonly used in this area of study often offer a broader and more sweeping look at assessment practices and theories, Assessment in Rehabilitation and Health focuses closely on the standardized and clinical methods of health assessment in regards to rehabilitation counseling, communication and speech disorders, occupational therapy, neuropsychology, physiotherapy, and physical medicine. Each chapter is structured using the common framework provided by the World Health Organization's International Classification of Disability, Functioning and Health (ICF).
