According to The International Ecotourism Society (TIES), an ecolodge must satisfy five out of ten strict environmental principles be considered authentic. Pioneering landscape architect Hitesh Mehta spent the last thirty months traveling forty-five countries to find the most authentic ecolodges in the world.
