Hoy este viejo te hace justicia confirmandote que fue tan feliz como sobre aquellas hojas otonales y complices... Es curioso que en nuestro acto inaugural y clandestino no necesitaramos palabras, solo hablamos con nuestros cuerpos incipientes, inocentes, gozos practicantes del mejor de los pecados. Quien escribe es un hombre de mas de ochenta anos, que en una carta a una mujer anciana recuerda la primera experiencia sexual de los dos, cuando eran jovenes y apenas se conocian, y este es el cuento que cierra un album donde se relatan las mil maneras en que los cuerpos se encuentran o se distancian. El album arranca con una historia de amor entre ninos de doce anos que se besan con los ojos abiertos y acaban casandose por despecho, sigue una conversacion entre dos jovenes que deciden descubrir sus cuerpos en vez de dedicarse a morir, y asi sucesivamente, pasando por la edad madura, el matrimonio y la traicion, hasta llegar a la carta conmovedora que cierra el album.Todo servido en la bandeja de la prosa inmensa de Mario Benedetti y acompanado por unas esplendidas ilustraciones.ENGLISH DESCRIPTION "Today, I vindicate you by confirming that I was as happy as those Fall leaves where we laid upon. This is the last story in a group that relates the many ways in which bodies can come together or grow apart.This compilation of short stories starts with a love story among two teenagers who kiss with their eyes open and get married out of spite; it continues with a young couple that instead of letting themselves die, decide to discover their bodies; and so, it continues through to old age, marriage and betrayal, until reaching the last touching letter.All served by Mario Benedetti's wonderful prose accompanied by great illustrations.
