The book is a brief journey in centuries and jurisdictions and expands the examples of enactment practices of states that support communication during pending litigations. On the other hand, the book makes an inquiry into other instances of legal regulations in history to see the examples that challenge or even reject the American way. England, engaging in and ratifying different rules, such as the strict regulations on contempt, is the main representative of a jurisdiction where communicating about legal cases does not act according to the American way. Instead, its actions concerning litigation communication suggest solutions potentially different than the American. As a kind of applied legal history the aim of this book is to provide an exploration of legal and communication historical events, while addressing the contemporary implications of the history of various regulations concerning communication in the legal process on modern enactments, such as the rules of contempt of court in a certain jurisdiction in the twentieth century. This book returns to the history of regulations with a specific purpose: to better understand the strict rules that have been cited to support or restrict communication in the legal process, several times in history. In addition, this book offers a comprehensive analysis and detailed historical narrative of the positions of various jurisdictions in relation to communication in the legal process. As such, the book is an attempt to provide a correct and thoughtful account on the theory and history of litigation communication, may be something directly engaged in various debates, such as the work on the meaning and context of the Contempt of court Act in England or the American First and Sixth Amendments in different centuries.
