They are also skilfully written for beginners, with the shapes of tunes reinforcing basic fingering patterns and with simple technical matters gently presented. Children will enjoy the infectious rhythm of 'Jazz Waltz', the foot-stomping, folk-like melody of 'Hungarian Dance' and the pizzicato of 'Cool Blues', in which the cellist becomes the laid-back rhythm section of a jazz duo.
