That announcement points to Christological fulfillment in Pentecost and sets up Christology throughout the New Testament.Drawing from classical and contemporary sources, Jesus the Spirit Baptizer probes the fundamental connection between the person of Christ and the Holy Spirit. From that perspective, Macchia argues that Christology explicates Jesus as the one who bears the Spirit so as to impart the Spirit on all flesh.
